Logo Design
London Art Live is a new concept in social media aimed at artists as well as collectors.
It aims to provoke discussion and understanding of art in a conversational way.
I was asked to come up with a logo based on the gallery in Brixton where it began.

Moodboard
Initial inspiration came from the art on display at Studio 73 in Brixton. Adrian, who owns the gallery, wanted to lead the way in a new form of social media for artists so I thought this was a very good place to start as these are the artists who would be represented on the site.
Rough Sketches & Initial Concepts
From the moodboard I roughed out some very loose ideas on composition.
I already had a pretty clear idea of what I thought the logo should look like, but these ideas needed refining once Adrian had decided which route he wanted to take.

Final Logo
The final logo (based on the very first concept) was refined by hand drawing the "Live" part of the logo in Adobe Illustrator, and by giving it an inner edge. Colours were kept basic (CMYK) to hint at the bold color palettes on show in the art gallery.
The boldness of the logo represents the strong imagery which will be displayed & discussed on the website.
